A new skate park in Lignano Sabbiadoro
A new free skate park has been inaugurated in Lignano Sabbiadoro, as a part of an articulated urban development plan. The Italian Skateboard Championship stopped here on 7 and 8 August. At the HUB PARK in Piazzale Roma, the skate park offers pipes and half pipes that are perfect for those who already know how to skate and for those who want to learn to move and master tricks; due to its settings it is one of the most important on a national level. In addition to this, there are several soccer fields and, at a short distance, a basketball court. www.thankyouskateboarding.it.
Punta Verde Zoo Park
The Punta Verde Zoo Park is a zoological garden, managed by a private company, that extends over an area of 100,000 square meters between the two river embankments of the "Tagliamento" river. The park hosts over 1,000 animals belonging to about 200 species, including mammals, birds and reptiles. It is open from March to November at the times indicated on its official website.
The park's mission is based on four fundamental points:
- the education of its audience on themes such as a greater culture and sensitivity towards the animal world and the environment;
- the conservation of biodiversity through the participation in situ and ex situ programs;
- the research, through collaborations with institutes such as universities, museums and scientific institutes, aimed at deepening scientific knowledge in the biological and ethological fields;

The aquatic park Aquasplash
The Aquasplash has always been considered as the first real water park to have sprung up in Italy together with the Aquaparadise Canevaworld in Lazise (VR).
Opened in 1985, it features a wide variety of slides within an area of approximately 40,000 square meters. The two wavy Kamikazes stand out, the “Black Hole” and the “Jaracaboa”. This is the most attractive structure in whole Friuli and, being located in an area particularly suited to tourism, it gathers holidaymakers from all over the coast near Lignano Sabbiadoro, a renowned seaside resort. www.aquasplash.it
Municipal stadium
The renovated G. Teghil Municipal Stadium, with its four natural grass and synthetic grass pitches, can hold over five thousand spectators and hosts local teams as well as important national clubs.
During the summertime the stadium is implemented with additional stands and becomes the setting for very important concerts by national and international artists: among the artists who have performed there are Vasco Rossi in 2016, 2018 and 2019, Tiziano Ferro in 2017, Cesare Cremonini and Negramaro in 2018, Ultimo in 2019 and many others (David Guetta, Alvaro Soler, Martin Garrix…).
Junior park
The Junior Park awaits you with many exciting attractions to spend carefree and fun hours with the whole family. Admission to the park is free for everyone, you do not have to pay any entrance ticket.
